Garonne (1871)
A 10x8 negative. A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Garonne (1871) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has a tall funnel and is barque rigged with three yards on each of the fore and main masts. A Gould copy negative of another negative not held in the collection. This negative was originally identified as Chimborazo (1871) or Garonne (1871) but the figurehead is that of the Garonne (1871).
