Empire Chapman (1942)
EMPIRE CHAPMAN (1942); A starboard quarter view; Anchored in the River Mersey prior to 8 Jun. 1943. She has a dummy funnel rigged amidships disguising her identity as a tanker and is fitted with anti-torpedo nets and booms supported on kingposts erected forward, amidships and on the poop, the last mentioned doubling as exhausts for her engines.
