The Greek general cargo steamship Georgios Potamianos (1913) at Alexandria, Egypt
A slightly distant starboard broadside view of the Greek general cargo steamship Georgios Potamianos (1913) under way arriving at Alexandria, taken from a boat at sea level. She is still painted in civilian colours but is fitted with weapon tubs on either side of the bridge, on either side of the boat deck and on the poop but no guns can be seen. She also has quick-release liferafts at the bases of both masts. Her derricks are raised in preparation for working cargo and she has a windsail rigged over her machinery space. This is an officially issued graticuled negative which is marked 1 201G492 22.5.43.
