Ionic (1883)
A whole plate negative. A port broadside view of the passenger/cargo liner Ionic (1883) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has been rebuilt and is shown with a tall funnel and yards of the foremast only. She is flying the blue peter and a passenger tender, paddle driven and with two widely spaced bell topped funnels, is alongside her starboard side aft. Tilbury Landing Stage is in the background.
