Michigan (1898)
A 12x10 negative. A port very near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Michigan (1898) at anchor or moored in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. Her hull paintwork is in poor condition and shows signs of some repainting being done. No name or houseflag is visible. The ship arrived in London 31 October 1900 from New York and sailed for Baltimore 8 November 1900. Scratched into the emulsion is "Michigan 31/10/00 L Hills". Negative number G721 is very similar.
