Stitched Together

Stitched Together was a three-month programme to create a ‘stitched together’ outcome. It culminated in a group artwork that collates relationships to personal objects that represent their identity through craft-based stitched fabrics telling stories of 2020 and hopes and wishes for the future. The outcome was on display on banners outside of the Museum’s entrance during October 2021.

Artist Jeanine Woollard worked with community groups and staff to produce four banners inspired by the Collective Spirit boat which was also on display outside the National Maritime Museum.

The groups:

Mulgrave Primary School (our partner school)

Greenwich Inclusion Project

Association Of Chinese Women

Royal Museums Greenwich Staff

Collective Spirit project
