2024 marks 70 years since Cutty Sark came to Greenwich. On 10 December 1954, the tea clipper made its final voyage to its new home: a custom-built dry dock in the heart of Greenwich.
To celebrate, curators Louise Macfarlane and Hannah Stockton will introduce a new display, which tells the story of the ship’s arrival in the Royal Borough. Their talks will also highlight an accompanying exhibit showcasing the different versions of Nannie, Cutty Sark’s figurehead.
The 20-minute talks take place in the Dry Dock, located beneath the ship, and are included with tickets to Cutty Sark.
