Collection of original letters received by Collingwood, Vol.1, 1792-1809. Index listing of letters and correspondents enclosed within first page. Namely: original letters from Lord Collingwood to his relatives and friends, including 32 letters to the Rev. Dr. Carlyle, 1792-1805, 16 letters to Lord Collingwood’s sister Mrs Stead, 1801-1809, one letter to Mrs Montray. Also five letters from King William IV to Lord Collingwood and one from Lord Spencer when sending to Lord Collingwood the Gold Medal for the Glorious 1st of June.
