Letterbook relating to HMS THETIS, 1900-1901.
Letterbook used by Stokes Rees while in command of the cruiser HMS THETIS (1890) on the Cape of Good Hope station, covering the period between 24 April 1900 and 29 May 1901. It includes references to the South African War (Boer War), disturbances at St. Helena, aid to merchant ships, and trials of the Marconi system.
