The log of HM Ships Erne, Bulwark, and Vengeur, kept by Midshipman Robert [Thomas] Ewing with leaf samples and letter
Seven pressed leaves [botanic matter] were found within the logbook. They are now stored in a melinex folder with accompanying photo sheets showing original locations. The letter (dated 30 Dec 1828) was addressed to Midshipman Robert [Thomas] Ewing and sent from Montego Bay, Jamaica.
