Behind Japanese lines : the untold story of Royal Marine Detachment 385

This publication, produced privately by the Royal Marines Historical Society, focuses on Detachment 385, which secretly took part in operations in 1945 behind Japanese lines, in close cooperation with the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force. Covering Burma, Siam, Sumatra and Malaya, the detatchment's expeditions included picking up and dropping agents, beach reconnaisance, deception raids and supply dropping. The publication is split into the operation reports of every landing, written at the time, usually by the leader of the expedition.
