H.M.S. Alexandra. Built at Chatham Dockyard and completed for sea in 1877. Length 325ft. Displacement 9490 tons. I.H.P. 8610. Speed 14.3 knots. Armament 8 18 ton guns, 4 22 ton guns, 6 4 in. guns, 4 6 prs., 6 3pr. Q F Guns. This Vessel carried the flag of the late Lord Alcester (Admiral Seymour) at the Bombardment of Alexandria, and is at present part guard-ship at Portsmouth (Print)
