A ship careened and burning off near a tower

Medium includes graphite.; Heightened with white. What appears to be a small warship, with its upper masts struck down and canted over aground in shallow water for 'burning off' of weed and barnacles on its lower hull from fires set on rafts floating alongside. The tower on the right may be intended as in a distant location such as the West Indies, since in European waters this form of maintenance - at least for warships- was generally a dockyard operation. The subject was inherently dramatic, however, especially of shown at night, and the drawing may be free invention rather than observed. [PvdM 2/18]
