Jaunt in a rowing boat
The seamen shown, rowing a yawl (a four-oared ship's boat), are presumably from the brig or snow shown at anchor in the left background. The location may be in a warm climate where the ship has been anchored some time, given the awning spread over her quarter-deck for shade.
