Three studies of ships' boats in use
These studies in pencil and grey wash appear to be of ships' boats in use. They are very reminiscent of similar drawings by the van de Veldes, and are probably consciously in that tradition. The large two-masted lug-rigged craft at the bottom is probably a ship's launch.
