Second taking of Chusan, China, Oct 1 1841
In September 1841, after taking Amoy, the British fleet moved on to Chusan. Though the island had been heavily refortified when the Chinese took it back, it was captured for the second time on 1 October. This image shows the British fleet attacking Chusan.
