A Dutch ship bending sails

Portrait of a Dutch ship bending sails, viewed from the port broadside; fore and main yards aportlast. This is a free drawing accurately done, though not without a correction in the head. The marked difference in rake of the foremast and mainmast is an early feature of the Younger’s drawings.
