A Dutch flagship with a quartering breeze

A free drawing showing a port bow view of a ship, probably Dutch, before a quartering breeze under fore course, mizzen and topsails; the sheets and tacks of the fore course are started and the fore topsail also is shaking. A flag at the fore and pendant at the main. The ship is firing to leeward.

This is an unsigned pencil drawing by the Younger, drawn in soft rapid pencil. It has been very approximately dated by the style. The margins have been lined with ink.
