Two English ships before the wind

To the left, a near starboard broadside view of a ship before a light breeze under a fore course, topsails, spritsail and spritsail topsail. There is a ship on her port bow under similar canvas but setting her main topgallant. She has the wind slightly on the port quarter.

This is and unsigned pencil and wash drawing by the Younger. It has been inscribed ‘W’ indicating the direction of the wind.
