A Dutch ship bending sails
An English ship before the wind, freely but accurately drawn. The drawing shows a port broadside view of a ship before a strong breeze under main and mizzen topsails and mizzen. The fore topsail is lowered almost on the cap and is shaking under the lee of the main topsail.
