H.M.S. Pearl, commanded by Lord Clarence Paget
This coloured aquatint depicts the Pearl, in starboard broadside view, under full sail, on a port tack, in a fairly calm sea. She is flying the British ensign from her stern gaff. Several figures can be seen on her deck, as can a small ship's boat. On the right of the picture, a two-masted gaff rigged vessel, on the same tack, is slightly to windward. Another vessel can be seen far off on the horizon, on the left of the picture.
