A Dutch fleet at anchor

A drawing of eight ships at anchor in the distance, mostly in bow view. In the centre is an admiral, with a rear-admiral well out on his starboard quarter (viewer's left). In the left middle distance is a starboard broadside view of a large loaded kaag running before the wind, with a boeier yacht running across her course into the picture, close-hauled on the port tack. Further right is another kaag in bow view with her mainsail brailed, apparently waiting for a small boat approaching from the right.
