Union Flag
British Union Flag (post 1801 pattern). It is made of wool bunting with a linen hoist, and is machine-sewn. wool bunting. A rope and wooden toggle
is attached.
The flag was used on board HMS 'President' (ex 'Gannet' 1878?). She was used as a training ship for the RNR until 1911 when she was replaced by HMS 'Buzzard'.
