White Ensign
British naval ensign. It is made of wool bunting, machine sewn with a linen hoist. A rope is attached and there are metal grommets in the hoist. There is a hand sewn repair at the fly edge.
Worn by HMS 'President' (ex 'Gannet' 1878?). She was used as a training ship for the RNR until 1911 when she was replaced by HMS 'Buzzard'.
