Pilot Jack
British Union Flag (post 1801 pattern) with a white border. This design was used a merchant jack and a signal requesting a pilot (pilot jack). The flag is made of wool bunting, machine and partly hand sewn with a linen hoist. A rope and toggle is attached. Cord is sewn round part of the edge.
