A circular bust-length portrait of Richard Howe, Earl Howe (1726–1799) in flag officer’s undress uniform, 1749–1767. The portrait is surrounded by an elaborate frame, hung at the top with a mask and ribbons. This print was published by John Fielding, John Sewell and J. Debrett on 1 November 1782 as an illustration in ‘The European Magazine, and London Review’, volume 2 (October 1782), alongside ‘Memoirs of the Life and Military Services of Admiral Lord Howe’, pp. 243–5.
