Agamemnon (1865)
A whole plate negative. A port broadside view of the passenger/cargo liner Agamemnon (1865) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has an auxiliary barque rig. A single masted cutter is at anchor in the foreground. Tilbury Fort and the Coast Guard Watch Vessel CGWV 28 (1847) are in the background. The original glass plate negative has been broken and discarded. A 12x9 photographic print from this negative is available for scanning. Negative number P8545 is a copy of this image.
