A starboard side view, taken from abaft the beam, of the Cunard Line cruise ship Carinthia (1925) at anchor in Moldefjord, offshore at Molde, Norway. She has a black hull with white upperworks, her port anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged by her midships shell doors. No. 1 motor lifeboat is missing from its falls and a small boat is alongside the accommodation ladder. The photographer is in a slightly elevated position above a quay on shore and in the foreground are the upperworks of a steam coaster and on her black funnel is a lighter band with the intertwined letters D, I and S between two narrow bands. The Carinthia adopted an all-white livery in 1932.
