King Will[ia]m 4th & Queen Adelaide landing at Greenwich, Augt. 5th 1830

A boldly coloured and very animated popular print showing William IV's first visit to Greenwich as King, with Queen Adelaide. A Marine guard lines the Five-Foot Walk and water stairs, at the head of which the Hospital Chaplain appears to be standing to greet the royal pair who are being greeted by a VIP party, presumably including the Governor of that time, Sir Richard Keats. The two barges in the centre, one flying the Royal Standard having brought the King, appear to be Admiralty vessels. The plate, numbered 45, is hand-coloured.
