H.M Ship Thisbe on fire by lightning at sea 4th Jany 1786. From a drawing by N.M Condy Esq. 2 P.M Hove to under storm stay sails. 1/4 past 4 lightning disabled some of the people, a second Flash set Main sail, Top & Mizen stay sails on fire, obliged to cut away mizzen Top mast, Fore Top Mast shivered by the lightning went over the side about 9.
