One of a pair of watercolour depictions of the port broadside Devastation under steam, shown under a cloud break in a storm. Three bright white lifeboats shown evenly spaced above the deck. Most of the vessel is obscured by white-topped waves. She is depicted dipping into the wind, stern aloft.
