The photographer is in the main passageway between 41 and 45 stations on 2 deck looking aft from 41½ station showing, on the left, the arched opening into the seamen's mess with an emergency change over switch and connection box above it, stairs leading up to 1 deck, three fuse panels, a transformer, the sickbay, a hatch leading down to 3 deck, a cable hanger and an automatic emergency lantern. On the right are  noticeboards on either side of the door to the main wireless and main signal office, a notice board cabinet and a canvas covered stretcher. The watertight door at 45 station is closed but not clipped.
