The photographer is in the main passageway between 45 and 55 stations on 2 deck looking aft from 45½ station showing, on the left,  a transformer, a cable hanger, a hatch leading down to 3 deck, an emergency change over switch and connection box, a fuse panel, the servery and an automatic emergency lantern.  On the right are a noticeboard, arched openings to two seamen's messes, a sliding door to the officers' galley and the curtained off junior ratings dining hall.  A water cooler is against the bulkhead of the midship fan chamber in the background.
