The photographer is in the commanding officer's day cabin between 46¼ and 48½ stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking to starboard and forward. An electric fire is against the ship's side and a cupboard is in the forward starboard corner. Four upholstered chairs and a coffee table are in the centre of the cabin. The door to the sleeping cabin is in the forward bulkhead.
