A port bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the Cunard White Star Line passenger liner and cruise ship Mauretania (1939) at anchor in an unknown Caribbean location. Her port anchor is deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged at a shell door amidships with a floating pontoon alongside it. An American built wooden tug is alongside the pontoon with a couple of other small craft. A single storey shed on the wharf beyond the ship's bow has 'The America' painted on the roof.
