A view of the Chinese Arch at Perth

A view looking down a street in Perth of the Chinese Arch built for the visit of the Duke and Duchess of York during their tour in 1901. The Chinese Arch was built at St Georges Terrace and featured coloured paper lanterns, banners and dragons made by the local Chinese community. The banner above the main arch states 'Welcome by the Chinese Citizens'. Above this arch are 'E' and 'R' for the new King, Edward VII. People are lining the street with some standing in the road.

The print has a caption: 'The Chinese Citizens Arch. Perth'.
