Lifeboats being launched from on board the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) during an exercise in an unknown Baltic port. The photographer is on the starboard bridge wing looking aft showing a boat drill for the crew with all boats swung out and being lowered fully manned. Lifeboat number 3 is in the foreground. A coastal passenger/cargo steamer is alongside a wharf in the left background. The location is almost certainly one of the ports on the south coast of the Baltic. A vertical format negative. Negatives numbers P84371 to P84377 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
