A bow view of the excursion paddle steamer Medway Queen (1924) on a Eurosalve lighter in the River Medway between Chatham Ness and Sun Pier, Chatham.

A bow view of the excursion paddle steamer Medway Queen (1924) on a Eurosalve lighter in the River Medway between Chatham Ness and Sun Pier, Chatham. She had been towed from Cowes, Isle of Wight, having been salvaged after lying sunk in the River Medina for a number of years, hence the poor condition of the hull and paintwork. She has been photographed soon after arrival and has a Eurosalve banner on either side of her forecastle rails. Another banner is attached to her funnel but cannot be seen in this image. A vertical format negative.
