Steam launches taking passengers off a British passenger liner, with a view of a port city in the background
Wyllie probably drew this - or sketches on which it is based - while a guest of or working for one of the British liner companies, possibly in Scandinavia or the Baltic. Its proportions and finished form, with a ruled line surround, suggest it may have been done as the basis of an advertising poster or some other promotional illustration, probably with over-printed lettering in the upper right part. The location has not yet been identified.
