The vessels referenced are Thetis (1846) a fifth rate frigate of 36 guns, Nankin (1850) a forth rate frigate of 50 guns, Vernon (1850) a forth rate frigate of 50 guns, Raleigh (1850) a forth rate frigate of 50 guns, Eagle (1804) a third ship of the line of 74 guns, Vanguard (1835) a second rate ship of the line of 78 guns, Cressy (1853) a third rate screw ship of the line of 80 guns and Queen (1839) a first rate ship of the line of 110 guns. The green ink used on the drawing is starting to fade.
