London Bridge with figures and traffic
A depiction of London Bridge at night. The bridge was a major artery for goods and people, and was busy around the clock. Wyllie's view is from the south bank, with the Monument and the church of St Magnus the Martyr in the background. The bridge was widened in 1902-04 to cope with the increasing volume of traffic. For another version see PAE4933.
