Scale 1:192. Plan shows a sketch of sails for the Pearl class corvette Challenger (1858), as fitted for the scientific circumnavigation between 1872-1876. The title of the plan is "Sketch of sails as fitted for special service". A stamp on the drawing details this plan was noted and returned at Sheerness Dockyard.

Signed by Alfred B. Sturdee [Chief Constructor at Sheerness Dockyard 1866-1878]. The plan is fragile and folded in various places.
