Eastbourne sprat boat
This view of the ca. 25ft lute-sterned clinker-built Eastbourne lugger William and Dorothy, regd NN145, described on the negative envelope as a sprat boat, shows the boat from the port side, beached but with both dipping lug foresail and boomed standing lug mizzen hoisted. Just beyond the boat's bow stands a man wearing an overcoat, facing the camera.
