'The Rustic Wreath'

The print shows a young woman sitting in a field with a baby lying on the ground by her. The woman is holding a hat with flowers around it and looking down at the baby.

It relates to a story of the same name written by Thomas Lister.

This print was published by the firm Smith, Elder & Co as were quite a number in the Herschel collection. The brother of Margaret Brodie Herschel (nee Stewart), Peter Stewart worked for Smith, Elder & Co as a printer.
