Two Sri Lankan men stood in water
A black and white portrait photograph of two Sri Lankan men standing in water. Both are facing the camera with their hands by their sides. B Each wears some form of turban or other cloth head covering and a loincloth; both are bare-chested. Each holds a net or bag in one hand, partially sumberged in the water. The man on the right of the image also has another, smaller, net or bag in his other hand. They are stood in a pond, calm section of a steam or some other body of water that covers their calves and feet. The side or bank to this body of water can be seen on the right side of the image, extending in a curve behind both men. Behind this is a higher bank or hillside covered in vegetation, with a strip of sky visible along the top of the image. Original caption (handwritten in white beneath): 'DRAGinG FOR minnows'.
This photograph appears near photographs of Diyatalawa and Haputale so is likely to have been taken in that part of Sri Lanka.
