Reduced etching of 'The Castle of Ischia' now Engraving... for the Art Union of London

Mounted in album with PAI1968-PAI1981, PAI1983-PAI2028. The original RA-exhibited oil (1841) on which this is based is now in Sunderland Museum and Art Gallery. This is a promotional print for Edward Goodall's larger engraving published by the Art Union in 1844. For the oil, see entry no. 312 in the 1979 Stanfield exhibition catalogue (Tyne and Wear Museums [Sunderland Art Gallery]) though the whereabouts of the painting (not exhibited) remained unknown until it came onto the London market from a Belgian collection in 1982, when Tyne and Wear Museums purchased it.
