'The Bosphorus' ['Russian Encampment at Hunkiar Skellessi, 1841']

Mounted in album with PAI4871-PAI4878, PAI4880.; No.9. Titled as above in lower margin, in pencil, with the Russian line above it under the image: the 1841 date has been separately added below that, in stronger pencil. In the left margin: 'Valley of Beuzkaderi' [?]. In the right margin a small pointing hand sketch to the right, and 'to the / Black Sea'. The view is therefore from south side of the Bosphorus.
