To Lord Collingwood... This Representation of the Destruction of the French & Spanish Prizes after the Glorious Victory off Trafalgar

Hand-coloured. One of a set of three in NMM, though probably originally four; the others in the collection are PAI5439 and PAI5440, which appear to be reissues of two plates out of a set of three originally issued by Wigley in 1806-07. The Wigley plates are PAI6132 (PAI5438 is another copy), PAI6144 and PAI6134. The putative missing one from the Fairburn set is his version of PAI6132. The one not in the Wigley group is PAI5439. [PvdM 7/07]
