Portrait of a Dutch frigate

A portrait of a Dutch frigate viewed from the starboard bow. It shows the taffrail decorated with tritons riding on dolphins supporting a coat-of-arms. It has been rapidly and accurately drawn over a very faint offset, probably, according to Robinson, from a drawing by Van de Velde the Elder, though the drawing of the stern has been extended beyond the offset by about a centimetre.
