Cylindrical candle lantern made of sheet metal with horn panes, two in door, three in the other sections of the lantern. 'HMS SHANNON' is painted in red round the base. It has a hinged door, a suspension ring and provision for ventilation. Traces of green paint remain on the surface of the item.
